微かに潮の匂いと、砂に棲む微生物の分泌液！？が鼻と口を掠める。　　びっしりと夏草に覆われた堤をしばらく行くと“堰”に到着する。　　先の尖った芝生風の意草が堤をびっしり覆い、土が剥き出しになった轍が中央に一本。　　バイシュクルを草に倒し、作戦にとりかかる。　　下流を（例）の旧海軍省直行道路が横切り、見上げるような高さで強固な石造り風の橋が視界に入る。　　橋桁は強固な造りの船のような形の土台に乗っかっており、少し深くて暗い。
