奔流がまともにぶつかり、抉られた岸も。　　以前は子供達が堪らず入水してた、泳げるほどの深みや、波を蹴立て渦巻きながら滔々と流れていたあたり。　　すっかり水位は後退、大きな石が目立ちサラ！サラ！した流れの瀬に。　　晩秋、河原を歩く、ずんずん行く、あれこれ過ぎる想いは無く、白日のようにサッパリしている。　　目の辺りにする一切のほか、思惟を占めるものはない。　　有象無象は風に吹き飛ばされ、跡形は燦たる陽に曝され浄化の一途。　　歩きながらきれいな木片を探し、確保する。

♯♭♪ (*^.^*) ：　Randy Weston 1 2 3 4/ Earth Birth　♪　♪ : 　　　　ピアノトリオにモントリオール・Jazzフェスティバルオーケストラ（編曲メルバ・リストン）が協演、全編にワクワク・たおやかに躍動するしなやかなストリングスの助奏。　　ジャケット中には、モントリオールのMonument NationalのLudget-Duvernayホールで雛壇のオーケストラと、同時演奏しているパナマ帽のＲ・ウェストンの姿がある。　　Earth Birth（3:58）、自作の古い曲、激しい打弦で始まる、優雅なワルツを心地良い粘り、清冽な打弦のピアノが弾むような展開で奏でる。　　ストリングスは流麗な神秘の森を想わせる。　　Pam's Waltz（3:51）、自作の古い曲、夢見るような、なんとも心地良いくすぐりのあるＲ・ウェストン。　　オーロラの降るような夜陰を想わせる華麗なストリングス。　　Little Niles（7:52）、息子の為に書いた古い自作、ピアノで明快に極めてくっきりと主題が提示される、魅惑のストリングスの優雅とピアノトリオは見事に呼応・連携、美しいサウンドで一体となり、ワルツ風のストリングスオブリガートで目眩く余韻を堪能する。　　Babe's Blues（3:02）、Ｔ・モンクを想わせる点描的なタッチが華麗にすばらしく跳躍する。　　Where?（5:48）、自作の古い曲、シンプルなメロディーの発表、ベースのボーイングとの典雅なデュオはアルバムの雰囲気の特異点。　　強靱な打弦、卓抜な展開、間合いに力・エモーションが隠っている。　　Hi-Fly（10:26）、自作の古い曲、タラタラした運び、不思議なエモーションに囚われる。　　絶妙に配された時間空間に置かれた、一音一音は腹に心地良い歓喜のような得心・充足があり、移ろいゆく気分は遠い日々のものであり、色彩はくすみ色褪せている。　　Portrait of Billie Holiday（6:52）、流麗・強靱な腹からのタッチで奏でられる。　　展開部は寂寥と憂愁の降りてくる、実に”矯め”が魅力的な聴き応えのある、止めどなく思惟のそよぐもの、優しくフェイドアウトする。　　Berkshire Blues（5:15）、自作の古い曲、ダンス風のブルース、ピアノの強烈な展開で終止する、ストリングスのオブリガートも後退。　　 Portrait of Vivian（7:08）、母親Vivianの肖像、戯けたようなメロディーである。　　『……のよ。』　　あまりもたくさんのことが想い出され、他人には解らぬ想いのあれこれが散りばめられているよう。　　テンポが速くなり、躍動する展開は、とっても楽しい、スキップするようなことだろうか！？。　　ストリングスの部厚いオブリガートが覆い被さりフェイドアウト。　　Randy Weston（P）、Christian McBride（B）、B.
