すっかりスチーム暖房が冷えてしまった、真っ暗のベッドから起き上がり、重い頭のまま防寒具を着込む。　　この沖に向かって幾筋もの深い溝が走っている。　　暖かい海の砂浜に、満ち潮に乗って鱸やクロダイ、ワカシ（鰤の幼年）が接近してくる。　　昼間、波打ち際に立ち白い波が崩壊するあたりにじっと眼を凝らす、立ち上がった波頭 ”）” に小石がわらわらと巻き上げられる。　　アクアマリンに透けて見える、さらに凝視していると黒い影が一瞬すばやく横切るのが見える、ワカシである。

Jenkins（Vln）、Earl Freeman（B）の助奏は実に好ましい、シェップ（Ts）のブローイングは絶好調、L. Jenkins（Vln）の助奏は誠に強力なインパクト、ヴォーカルの叫び、ベースの心に響く弾き、再びシェップの打弦から引き締まったドラムソロ。　　シェップのゆっくりした新しい主題のブローイング、次第にリズムは弾んだ進行を開始、A. Braxton（As）のソロから、L. Jenkins（Vln）のインパクト絶大なソロ、シェップの打弦の助奏、A. Braxton（Ss）のソロは、深い感動を呼ぶ。　　ドラムソロと打弦の助奏、叫び、ベースソロ、ハーモニカの序奏、フェイドアウトで終わり、実に心地よいカタルシスを提出してくれる。　　A. Shepp（Arr,Ts,P, Main Performer）、A.
