よく研いだナイフで冷えたトマトの皮を剥き、縦に８つ等分皿に盛る。　　先日、何時もの魚屋でマゴチの切り身を見かけた、嬉しい。　　肉厚透明で細長い見事なものであった。　　本物の砂地よりも綺麗な砂地を背に描いて、明るい砂地に揺れる波紋を映して微睡んでいる。　　嫌なものの気配を察すると、きっととても俊敏な動き。　　かって砂州の先端、沖合の潮が速い細かい砂利混じりの砂浜で日長潜って遊んでいた時の光景が過ぎる。
